On the heels of a successful 55th Rolex 24 At Daytona, IMSA and FOX Sports announced additional television coverage and schedule updates for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and also released the 2017 Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge television schedule. In addition, IMSA and FOX Sports announced that the IMSA Prototype Challenge Presented by Mazda will have FS2 television coverage throughout the 2017 season.

“Our partnership with FOX Sports continues to pay dividends,” said IMSA Vice President, Marketing, David Pettit. “Between the additional improvements we’ve made to the WeatherTech Championship television schedule, the continuation of a strong FS1 package for the Continental Tire Challenge and the introduction of FS2 coverage for IMSA Prototype Challenge Presented by Mazda, we head into the 2017 season in an extremely strong position from a domestic television perspective.”

Three upcoming WeatherTech Championship races have been updated from the original broadcast schedule previously released in December.

The Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh From Florida on March 18 will receive an additional 90 minutes of live FS1 coverage, with the race broadcast now beginning at 12:30 p.m. ET and continuing through the race’s conclusion with post-race coverage until 11 p.m. ET. The entire Sebring race also will be available on the FOX Sports GO app with FS1 authentication.

The two-hour, 40-minute race at Circuit of The Americas on May 6 has moved from FS2 to FS1, and now will be shown on a same-day delay beginning at 7 p.m. ET. The two-hour, 40-minute Mobil 1 SportsCar Grand Prix at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, meanwhile, moves from a same-day delay to live on FS1 on July 9 at 12 p.m. ET.

In addition to WeatherTech Championship television schedule updates, IMSA also unveiled the 10-race FS1 broadcast schedule for the Continental Tire Challenge. Each race will be tape-delayed on FS1 throughout the season, in addition to live streaming of all races on IMSA.com. Continental Tire Challenge television coverage on FS1 begins this Sunday, Feb. 12 with the telecast of the BMW Endurance Challenge held at Daytona International Speedway on Friday, Jan. 27.

Additionally, FS2 television coverage for the IMSA Prototype Challenge series, which is set to debut on March 16-17 at Sebring International Raceway, as part of the prestigious Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring race week, will be introduced this season. This series typically features two, 45-minute sprint races per event weekend.

IMSA Prototype Challenge television coverage will be produced by NASCAR Productions and will follow a similar format to IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA by Yokohama telecasts, which feature highlights of the first race followed by expanded coverage of the second race at each event. Specific broadcast details will be provided at a later time.

Next up for the WeatherTech Championship is the 65th Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh From Florida on Saturday, March 18.
