Bentley Team Absolute will enter two cars in the Pirelli World Challenge Championship for the final rounds at Sonoma Raceway and Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. The No. 78 Bentley Continental GT3 will be driven by Andrew Kim (South Korea) in the GTA class. Kim is no stranger to Absolute Racing or Bentley; in the GT Asia series, he partners with Adderly Fong (Hong Kong) in the No. 7 Bentley Continental GT3. The duo is eighth in the championship there, having scored a win and three podiums together. Sonoma will be Kim’s North American race debut and marks the first time a Korean driver has participated in a Pirelli World Challenge race. Kim can glean some advice from teammate Fong, who is a full-season PWC driver in the No. 88 Bentley Continental GT3. Fong is currently eighth in GT Drivers Championship and recently scored back-to-back runner-up finishes at the Utah Motorsports Campus. Fong, however, has never been to 12-turn, 2.385-mile Sonoma Raceway. Though Fong and Kim will race in identical machinery, on track at the same time, Kim will be classified in the GTA division for amateur drivers. Saturday’s Round 18 race at 4:45pm ET and Sunday’s Round 19 race at 4:15pm ET will both be streamed live on www.world-challenge.com. The races will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network, Sunday, Sept. 25, at 4pm ET.

ANDREW KIM (KOR) #78 BENTLEY CONTINENTAL GT3

“Pirelli World Challenge is great! I was at Mid-Ohio to see Adderly who is my teammate in GT Asia. It made me really wanted to join PWC. It looks very tough and competitive. The tracks seem to have much less margin for mistakes. Normally, in Asia, we race on Formula 1 tracks, which are huge with lots of runoff. I am looking forward to driving at old school tracks in America! “I hope to come away with a strong result. I only have Asian racing experience, so this is a great opportunity. It is an honor to be first Korean to participate in PWC. “I began racing with Bentley Team Absolute last year in the Asian Le Mans Series. Now I am doing a full season of GT Asia. I know the Bentley Continental GT3 very well, but I am still learning how to get the best performance from the car each race.”

ADDERLY FONG (HK) #88 BENTLEY CONTINENTAL GT3

“This will be my first time racing at Sonoma Raceway and I can't look forward to it more. I will finally be flying into San Francisco for the first time ever, having heard of this place so many times. So racing not far away from this great city will be something to remember. The track itself looks much more similar to what I'm used to from racing over here in Asia and previously in Europe, with the wide open fast corners. I think these will also play into the strengths of the No. 88 Bentley Continental GT3 race car, so I'm looking forward to this one. “I think Bentley Team Absolute and I have really come to grips with racing over here in North America. The last two podium finishes at Utah definitely give us a confidence boost going into Sonoma, as it shows us everything we are doing as a team is in the right direction. “In a way, I am really looking forward to my first win in the Pirelli World Challenge, that is the ultimate goal, as fighting for the championship is not the case for us right now. However, I never drive with pressure and I never convert this pressure into negative energy. I know the team well, and they know me and we have complete trust in each other. That's why I don't feel any pressure to get the win.”
