Panoz DeltaWing Racing are ready for tomorrow’s grueling effort and are optimistic about one of the most challenging races of the Championship. The team are set for their fourth Twelve Hours of Sebring and believe they are in the best position they have ever been in before this race. Andy Meyrick qualified in P11 with the DeltaWing’s fastest lap time of the race weekend so far, 1:54.274. As the session went on, the coupe’s pace improved. Over the course of 77 practice laps the team have worked on the set-up to ensure durability, performance and speed and are confident this will pay dividends in the race tomorrow. Andy Meyrick “This is my fourth time racing the DeltaWing at Sebring. This is one of my favorite tracks here in the U.S., and even though we’ve not enjoyed much success here in the past, I am hopeful for a better result. The car feels good and I know the team have done their very best to be as prepared as possible given the conditions that this track produces.” Tim Keene “First of all I’m very happy with the job that the entire crew has done over the past couple of days as we are chasing the track with the extreme heat. This is quite different from when we tested here last month. It’s a long race and looking ahead to the forecast, I think the race at this point is going to be very unpredictable due to the weather changes.”
