The Heart of Racing Porsche drivers will be supported by the Cardiac Crew for the 54th running of the Rolex 24 Hour At Daytona, January, 30-31.
Team Seattle along with The Heart of Racing will celebrate 20 years of raising money to support The Heart Center at Seattle Children's Hospital. In that time the founders, Don and Donna Kitch, have managed to raise nearly $6 million through their motorsport outreach. All of the research and development performed at The Heart Center is shared internationally with other pediatric hospitals. This year the team is installing a new incentive, "THE" Cardiac Crew. For every on track position that the No. 23 The Heart of Racing Porsche improves as a result of the Cardiac Crew's fast pit work, a donation will be made to Seattle Children's Hospital and The Heart Center.
"It has been an amazing 20 years working with Seattle Children's Hospital," Don Kitch Jr. said. "In that time we have raised over $5.6 million. It is rewarding for Donna and myself to see the benefit received by the families that the money goes to help.
"The Cardiac Crew is going to be a great motivator for the Alex Job Racing team this whole season," he continued. "The team believes in our cause and work so hard to gain us all they can in the garage and pit lane, this will give them an even bigger feeling of a direct contribution. We have received a generous first contribution of $1,000 per place throughout the season and we are always looking for more at teamseattle.com. Pit stops are exciting, this program will add just another level of commitment and stimulus for the team this year. I can't wait until Daytona."
