City of St. Petersburg extends license for Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg through 2020, conf

Green Savoree Racing Promotions, organizers of the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, received approval today from the members of City Council for the extension of its license for the annual event with the City of St. Petersburg through 2020.

Under the amendment, the dates for the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg have also been confirmed through 2018. The event will be held on March 11-13 in 2016, March 9-12 in 2017 and March 8-11 in 2018, with the Verizon IndyCar Series headlining the weekend.
