The International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) and Konica Minolta Business Solutions, U.S.A., Inc. today announced a multi-year partnership making Konica Minolta the Official Business Solutions Partner of the TUDOR United Sports Car Championship and a Proud Partner of IMSA.

A centerpiece of the partnership will be the introduction of the Konica Minolta Business Center, which makes its debut in the paddock this weekend at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park for the Mobil 1 SportsCar Grand Prix presented by Hawk Performance. It will be prominently featured in the paddock at all TUDOR Championship events throughout the partnership.

“Konica Minolta is a widely respected, global leader in business solutions and another fantastic partner for IMSA,” said David Pettit, IMSA vice president, marketing. “From our point of view, the Konica Minolta Business Center is really our at-track ‘corporate headquarters,’ which will provide outstanding exposure for the brand and a great showcase for Konica Minolta’s technology. This is one of several ways in which this partnership will be mutually beneficial.”

The partnership with IMSA expands Konica Minolta’s exposure in sports car racing. Last year, the company became the entitlement sponsor on Wayne Taylor Racing’s No. 10 Konica Minolta Corvette DP co-driven by Jordan and Ricky Taylor. Last month, Konica Minolta logos were prominently featured on Corvette Racing’s Chevrolet Corvette C7.Rs at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, including the No. 64 Corvette co-driven to the GTE Pro class victory by Jordan Taylor, Tommy Milner and Oliver Gavin.

“A world class organization such as IMSA enhances the profile of our brand and provides an excellent platform to experience our solutions ‘live’,” says Kevin P Kern, senior vice president, marketing. “We are proudly committed to expanding our racing partnership in this type of arena.”

The Mobil 1 SportsCar Grand Prix presented by Hawk Performance will be televised live beginning at 12 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1 in the United States and FOX Sports Racing in Canada. Live coverage of the race also is available globally via the IMSA mobile app and IMSA.com.
