Cadillac Racing drivers Johnny O'Connell and Andy Pilgrim are ready to run their Cadillac ATS-V.R race cars in three races at the Pirelli World Challenge DeVilbiss Elkhart Lake Grand Prix presented by Cadillac race weekend at the famed Road America circuit in Wisconsin, June 26-28.

Following the cancellation of the second race in Detroit earlier this month, the Pirelli World Challenge Series officials made the decision to add a third race at the four-mile, 15-turn Road America circuit located 40 minutes north of Milwaukee.

O'Connell (Flowery Branch, Ga.) and Pilgrim (Boca Raton, Fla.) stood on the podium in 2014 and looking forward to a triple-header. The pair will put their all-new Cadillac ATS-V.Rs to work around the long and undulating natural terrain road course known best for its fast Kink Turn that runs through the woods into Canada Corner.

"I plan on it being a great weekend," O'Connell said. "The circuit is one that our ATS-V.R should like. Despite the tough finishes at Long Beach and Barber, we are still very much in the championship. I've learned through my career that there is still a long way to go. I have a lot of great memories of Road America. From trying my first bratwurst ever, to having a great race there in Indy Lights."

"Road America is an interesting circuit in that both high and low downforce set-ups can result in a similar lap time," he continued. "The Kink is a fast old school type corner where handling means everything. Three races in one weekend will be a challenge for everyone and I applaud the series for making the decision. If we execute like I know we will, we should have a productive weekend."

Pilgrim is eager for three races and the opportunity to move-up in the points after three successive disappointing finishes.

"I am very excited to have three races this weekend," Pilgrim said. "We've had a tough run recently with the No. 8 Cadillac and I'm looking forward to getting a good bunch of points to get back into the fight. One of my favorite memories of Road America is from 2002. Kelly Collins and I won the ALMS five-hour race in our GT1 Corvette. We ran really well and pushed Ron Fellows, Ollie Gavin and Johnny O'Connell into second place in the brother factory Corvette."

"The important turns at Road America, to me, is Turn 14, Turn Three and the Kink," he continued. "All three sections are very important as they lead onto the three long straights. Set-up for these will be critical, I'm hoping to take the Kink flat with no lift in the ATS-V.R - that will be awesome!"

The Pirelli World Challenge Series race from Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin will be broadcast on the CBS Sports Network Sunday, July 5 at 2 p.m.
