CORE Hungry for Top Step of Podium

Five weeks after departing the 12 Hours of Sebring with its second-straight runner-up finish, CORE autosport has its eyes on the top step of the podium as it heads to Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca for Round Three of the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship. This year will be the first time the Prototype Challenge category will race alongside all three of the additional TUDOR classes at Laguna Seca. Last year, the Prototype and GT Le Mans classes were grouped together for one race and the PC category was grouped with the GT Daytona class for a second race. You can expect more action and potentially more cautions with all four classes together on this 2.238-mile road course in Monterey, California. Jon Bennett and Colin Braun are hoping they are not part of any such incidents this year after contact early in the 2014 race caused the No. 54 Composite Resources/ Flex Box ORECA FLM09 to go several laps down while being repaired in the pits. Instead, the team hopes for a race more like 2012 when Bennett and Braun claimed their first PC win. A victory would be CORE's first of the 2015 season.
