TRG-Aston Martin Racing heads to the picturesque grounds of Barber Motorsports Park for the next round in the Pirelli World Challenge championship, following a strong GTA fourth place finish by Christina Nielsen at the Long Beach Grand Prix this past weekend in the No. 7 V12 Vantage GT3. The team also brings with them the GTS entry of Max Riddle, running the No. 07 V8 Vantage GT4 in GTS competition this weekend, with both cars ready for a strong showing.

While Barber is a favorite for racers of all types, this will be the first time for Nielsen navigating the track, though she’s prepared with data, video, and simulation. The 16-turn, 2.38 mile road course has been a fixture on multiple sportscar, open-wheel, and motorcycle racing series since its opening in 2003. The 740 acre facility also features the famous Barber Vintage Motorsport Museum and multiple large sculptures placed throughout the manicured grounds. The track is said to be one of the finest facilities in North America, with George Barber sparing no expense during design and construction.

Nielsen and the entire TRG-AMR Team are fresh from Long Beach and the team’s recent successful Partnership Summit, hosted in Silicon Valley last week, which featured over 50 guests and speakers from all corners of tech, motorsport, media, and other key industries. Team owner and CEO Kevin Buckler put on this summit, the second in the past six months, to help foster new relationships into the world of motorsports.

Kevin Buckler, TRG-AMR CEO: "Always love coming out here to Barber and Birmingham - great track, great atmosphere, and a great food and wine scene! This really is one of the nicest tracks around - I’ve never driven here but we’ve won here a number of times over the years. The whole team has been running flat out, first the with Silicon Valley Partnership Summit, then Long Beach, now Barber, and back to Laguna next week for IMSA - it’s been a crazy couple of weeks, but we love it. I’m looking forward to a strong performance by Christina and Max, as I think this flowing track will suit the Aston Martin racecars very well.”
